Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves the use of pure oxygen at elevated pressures (typically 1.5-2.5 atmospheres), resulting in increased oxygen levels in the blood (Hyperoxemia) and tissue (Hyperoxia). The increased pressure and oxygen bioavailability could be related to a variety of applications, particularly in hypoxic regions, such as antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, and angiogenic properties.
